This 2 day advanced
powerboat training course is recommended for the
leisure or professional skipper who wants or
needs to do more
adventurous trips.
The knowledge and experience needed for this
course is:-
Powerboat experience to Intermediate
level.
VHF Radio Certificate.
1st Aid Certificate.
Navigation ability to RYA Dayskipper
level.
The training is carried out using either or both
of our Avon and Ribtec Ribs,
both of which are powered by 90hp engines. They
are both well equipped
for these courses.
The course content includes:-
Preparation for Sea.
High speed boat handling and
navigation.
Passage making.
Cruising at night
Emergency procedures including search
patterns.
Meteorolgy.
Rules of the Road.
